The Highest Pilgrimage

Lifting the Veil of Samsara

The Govardhan hill is not just a geological formation; in the Braj tradition, it is considered a non-different form of Lord Krishna Himself. Performing the Parikrama (circumambulation) of this 21 km hill is a physical and spiritual discipline that devotees perform to seek mercy. Coupled with the visit to Barsana—the home of Srimati Radharani—this tour covers the "Two Pillars" of Divine Love.

Epic History

Learn about the 7-day battle between Indra and Krishna that led to the lifting of the hill.

Pure Devotion

Barsana is the only place where Radha is the supreme authority, even above the local administration of temples.

Tactical Tips for
Smarter Pilgrimage

Our drivers share their decades of experience to make your trip smoother.

Monkey Safety 101

Vrindavan and Barsana monkeys are experts at snatching glasses. Do not wear specs or shades in public areas. Keep bags close to chest.

Best Food Habit

Always eat freshly prepared kachoris or hot thalis. Avoid raw salads or open street food during peak summers to stay fit for the parikrama.

Shoe Management

Keep your shoes inside the car whenever possible. Carrying a small drawstring bag for footwear helps avoid long queues at temple shoe stands.

Frequently Asked Deep-Dive

Is Govardhan Parikrama possible by car?
Strictly speaking, private and commercial cars are banned on the 21km Parikrama Marg to maintain the sanctity and safety of walking pilgrims. Our driver will drop you at the entry point and coordinate a pickup at the exit. Local E-Rickshaws are available for those who cannot walk.
How long does the Barsana temple climb take?
There are approximately 250 steps. It take 15-20 minutes for a person with average fitness. However, an AC Ropeway is now available for ₹160 (return trip) which takes only 3 minutes.
What is the best time to visit Govardhan and Barsana?
While beautiful year-round, the months of October to March provide pleasant weather for the 5-hour parikrama. Festivals like Annakut (Day after Diwali) and Radhashtami (in Barsana) are peak times but very crowded.
Do we need to pay for E-Rickshaws separately?
Yes, our package covers the inter-city taxi travel. Local transport inside the restricted parikrama zone (E-Rickshaws) costs between ₹800-₹1200 for the full 21km loop and is paid directly to the local operators.
Are there charging points for mobile/cameras?
Our cars are equipped with mobile charging ports. However, most temples in these areas do not allow photography inside the sanctum sanctorum.
